It seemed like Rocky the Rooster literally fell from the sky the day he made his appearance on the farm. He simply showed up in the yard and started hanging around the bird feeders. He started showing up down the road terrorizing a few other neighbors’ bird feeders. We did not have any other chickens at the time, and we decided that Rocky was lonely so we got him six hens. Once he had some hens around, he never left our yard again. Rocky was a sure thing for a morning alarm clock. As soon as the sun would show he would crow his morning wakeup call.
