In 1992 Hurricane Andrew slammed into south Florida. A victim of
this devastating storm was the Miami Marine Stadium. This once
glorious architectural marvel was reduced to spot on the demolition
list. Fifteen long years have passed and the “Holy Grail of
hydroplane racing” still stands strong on the Miami skyline waiting
for its well deserved encore. That moment has arrived. An energetic
and determined group of individuals have formed Friends of Miami
Marine Stadium to save and return this architectural wonder to its
former grandeur. The Treasure Coast Regatta has joined forces with
the Friends of Miami in hopes of being a small part of this
tremendous task. You can help by joining this worthy cause and
organization. Please follow the link to learn more about this great
